We seek a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our Psychiatry Liaison team at Dorset County Hospital. we are Mental health service based at General hospital
To work within adult liaison psychiatry service, who provide assessment and treatment for those experiencing an episode of Mental ill health in acute hospital.
We're seeking individuals driven to make a tangible impact on the lives of those living with Mental health crisis. Key qualities for this role include passion, empathy, strong communication, and excellent teamwork. While prior experience is advantageous, it's not a prerequisite as comprehensive induction training will be provided, along with ongoing support from our seasoned teams. Additionally, there are ample opportunities for career advancement within our organization.
You will be required to work effectively with both the multidisciplinary team, our Acute Hospital colleagues based in the general hospital, other mental health services and external supporting agencies.
By joining Liaison Psychiatry as a support worker you will be offered a comprehensive induction period before starting in the role and be part of a continued developing service. You will be involved in team meetings, case presentations, reflective practice and receive regular group and individual supervision.
Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of.
Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check
