**Accounts Assistant - Newcastle**

This award-winning FTSE 250 property company require an Accounts Assistant to join the team in Newcastle. Being the largest registered “landlord” in the country, this very successful but still growing business promote diversity within their organisation and are also doing all they can to create more diversity and inclusion within the property sector as a whole. You will be working from brand new offices in Newcastle City Centre and will be joining a business where workplace culture is key

**Duties**
- Input of all rent income in real time using Pex and PayPal
- Ensure that tenants ledger is maintained and up to date
- Processing Direct Debit payments and amendments
- Processing refunds
- Running reports from system for audit purposes
- Dealing with Housing Benefit
- Deposit Reconciliation
- Internal account transfers and Journals
- GRML, PayPal and Arla bank reconciliation
- Reconciliation of Sage-pay receipts
- Correctly inputting all rental income
- Revenue posting
- Creation and posting of revenue charges and invoice creation
- Processing direct debit payments
- Posting Housing benefit receipts
- Allocating and banking cheques
- Confirming receipt of payments
- Distribution of departmental post
- Liaising with property management, renewals and revenue collectors
- Communicating with Council housing benefit departments
- Maintaining tenants ledger
- Production of reports for auditing purposes
- Setting up new Direct debit and amendments
- Scanning documents
- Producing monthly bank reconciliation reports
- Provide support and cover in relation to payroll function
- Any other duties that maybe requested by manager to ensure the efficient running of the department

**You**
- Approximately 1 year in a similar role
- Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel (Pivot Tables & V-look up)
- Excellent ability to communicate at all levels both oral and written - externally and internally
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Strong numeracy and attention to detail
- Good customer services skills
- Proactive with previous experience of working independently and as part of team. Evidence of building successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to use own initiative to problem solve, take ownership and work well under pressure

**On Offer**
- £23,000 annual salary
- Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00
- 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays
