**Summary**:
The role of Forward Delivery is to process and transport vital section and aircraft support equipment to the RAF Lossiemouth workforce enablers in the support of continued Airpower. This vital service is to ensure that the vast amount of inventory items ranging from consumable spares i.e nuts and bolts to Aircraft engines are delivered to the end user in a timely manner. Reverse supply is also a key element in ensuring that any returned equipment is correctly labelled and packaged before removal back to Base Supply for onward processing.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.

**Job description**:
Working within a small team responsible for the delivery and collection of equipment and goods at RAF Lossiemouth.

The vetting and completion of routine and priority taskings to support operational output.

The daily maintaining and managing of a small fleet of vehicles required for section use.

**Responsibilities**:
The team are responsible to the Logistics section on station for the efficient and effective operation of Fwd Del and all other associated tasks.

Particular attention is to be paid to the following areas:
a. Assisting with the loading and unloading of equipment on and off delivery vehicles using the relevant manual and mechanical handling aids provided.

b. Ensuring all priority tasking's are carried out promptly and that all immediate demands are delivered within 1 hour.

c. Identify and segregate equipment for the relevant Stock holding Groups.

d. Collection of Stores or escorting Delivery Contractors from the Main Gate to the Logistics responsible areas if workforce permits.

e. Ensuring the Metal and Wood Scrap Compounds are kept tidy at all times and that all scrap generated by the unit is segregated into the correct skips. Any issues are to be reported to senior management.

f. Identifying equipment by the use of appropriate equipment labels, ensuring the information is accurately reflected in the accompanying supply paperwork.

g. Ensuring that all Section vehicles are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, both internally and externally.

h. Any un-serviceable vehicles are to be reported immediately to the transport section through management.

i. Complying with requests made by the commanding officers or their deputies, in line with their role/grade and within H&S Regulations.

j. To assist in staff personal development and during periods of staff shortage in other areas of logistics,employees may be employed in any area of logistics on a short-term basis. Volunteers will be requested in the first instance. Suitable on the job training will be given and PPE issued if appropriate.

k. Safe operation of all service vehicles and to undertake training on all new vehicles.
