**About the role**:
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our Client a leading Defence and Aerospace organisation for 2 x Maintenance Engineers to join our team in Coventry to carry out mechanical and electrical maintenance on production and manufacturing equipment at out Facilityin Coventry.

**Job Designation**
The Maintenance Technician repairs and maintains assigned manufacturing related equipment throughout the facility in accordance with standard procedures, internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications and safety policies. Performs a wide variety of skilledwork across multiple-functions and operations of the preventive maintenance system.

**Job Core Responsibilities**
You will perform maintenance service and repairs on assigned manufacturing equipment such as CNC machines - carrying out troubleshooting, inspections, repairs, replaces and maintains existing mechanical systems and electrical systems and associated equipmentincluding air compressors, air dryers, dehumidifiers, cooling towers, etc.

Facilitate and accurately follow specific detailed operational instructions and prints for jobs and setup operations and administers the preventive maintenance system and provides required reports

Determines preventative maintenance requirements for new equipment and educates and trains equipment operators to perform routine maintenance

Maintains a safe and effective work area/environment and use appropriate personal protective and safety equipment

Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary - shift premiums and overtime available for non standard shifts.

**What do I need to carry out this role?**
- Proven career experience to date in either a Mechanical, Electrical or M&E maintenance role, ideally gained working in a production / manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of mechanical and electromechanical components and equipment
- Familiar with reading and interpreting engineering documents, schematics and blueprints
- Able to recognize and solve typical problems from established operating procedures and/or scientific methods
- Experience in operating forklifts and other powered equipment
- Ability to work within a team environment and able to adapt to changes in work requirements

We have two roles available currently in our Maintenance Team for this production area, we will consider either Electrical or Mechanical disciplines or dual skilled in M&E Maintenance professionals for these roles.
