Burton Albion Football Club has an exciting career opportunity for an Apprentice Groundskeeper to assist and support in maintaining and preparing playing surfaces and surrounding areas of the stadium where the first team play their home games.

If you love working outdoors in all weathers and are willing to learn a range of skills whilst working towards a nationally recognised qualification, this is a great opportunity to join the Club and the Ground Staff team, where you will undertake everyday duties under the guidance and instruction of the Head Groundsman.

The work will be varied and you must be able to use your initiative to complete maintenance tasks and you will be trained to use a variety of machinery and gain grounds skills, therefore a good level of physical fitness is required. You must have a genuine interest in sports turf and horticulture.

No previous experience is required, as full training will be provided and applicants must have good communication skills and be excellent timekeepers. A drivers’ licence and own transport would be an advantage, but is not essential.
