Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust are delighted to be developing a Community Rehabilitation Team across the trust footprint.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to be a part of the Multidisciplinary Team as a medical secretary. Working in a flexible /hybrid approach the post holder will provide evidenced based care and play an an integral role in delivering a recovery focused service as part of a whole system approach.

The multidisciplinary team will provide specialist clinical care and work within an overall framework for the delivery of community mental health services to support people with complex psychosis who are living in funded placements, including care homes and supported accommodation. Incorporating the NICE guidelines for complex psychosis and supported by the Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT) national program

It is essential that the post-holder should exercise initiative commensurate with the role of a Medical Secretary

The post holder will be flexible and use their own initiative to organise their workload dependent upon the priorities and requirements at that time. Sensitivity to people with mental health needs is essential in this role

Provision of full secretarial service to Consultant and his/her supporting medical team which includes typing letters, psychiatric reports, non-clinical typing and recording minutes of meetings.

To carry out general administrative duties for the Consultant and his/her supporting medical team to include information gathering and circulating correspondence. Dealing with internal and external mail (paper and electronic) managing this communication by responding to routine matters not requiring the urgent attention of the Consultant and ensuring timely dissemination. Filing, faxing, scanning and photcopying documents
