**About our Client**

Our client is an exciting, rapidly growing brewery based in Bristol.

They are now looking to recruit a Financial Controller to maintain the company’s finances and provide financial analysis and support to the directors.

As Financial Controller you will be an experienced hands-on qualified accountant.

Your key role will be managing the company’s finances and improving the financial reporting processes.

Key responsibilities include:

- Produce the monthly management accounts pack with variance analysis;
- Produce and monitor forecasts and budgets;
- Monitor cash and prepare cash flow forecasts;
- Oversee the day-to-day financial processes performed by an outsourced team;
- Complete monthly control account reconciliations;
- Prepare prepayment and accrual schedules;
- Manage the monthly stock take;
- Liaise with external accountants and prepare financial information to support the year end accounts and tax returns;
- Assist the external accountants with R&D claims;
- Ensure statutory financial compliance requirements are met;
- Provide management information to support the directors;
- Assist with ad hoc finance projects.

**The Successful Applicant**

You will be an ambitious accountant ideally with experience of working in an SME environment.

Requirements include:

- ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified;
- Strong working knowledge of Excel (including V lookups and pivot tables);
- Knowledge of Xero desirable;
- Manufacturing experience desirable;
- An inquiring analytical mind;
- A can-do attitude and ability to work on your own initiative;
- Excellent attention to detail;
- Planning and time management skills.
