Founded in 1933, the practice comprises 26 partners and approximately 280 staff supplying a range of services spanning audit, corporate taxation, private client services, VAT and forensic accounting, together with a range of sector groups offering specialistindustry knowledge.

**The Department**: The Corporate Tax Department currently comprises of a Director, a Senior Manager, an Assistant Manager, a Supervisor and three trainees, overseen by a Partner. The Department advises clients across the practice and the work undertaken is very broad.

Focusing primarily on owner managed businesses, the team also handles large transactions, including areas such as EIS, share schemes and everything in between.

**The Role**:
We require an ACA/CTA trainee to join our growing Corporate Tax Team.

**Responsibilities**:
The duties of this role are varied and can include:

- Assisting the team with completing corporate tax returns
- Assisting our managers with their portfolios
- Liaising with HMRC, clients and staff regarding queries
- Completing Form 431s from our Company Secretarial team
- Other ad hoc duties in line with the role

As experience, knowledge and studies progress, the role will develop to taking on more responsibility, including assisting future trainees and other team members, and being part of the wider role that being a corporate tax professional involves.

You will be:

- Computer literate
- A quick learner
- Able to work on own initiative or as part of a team
- Numerate
- Conscientious
- In possession of good communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Accurate and pay attention to detail

In return you will be offered a four year apprenticeship training contract to complete the ACA and CTA qualifications.

The ACA training will be conducted by our training provider, First Intuition, whilst our CTA studies are provided by our tax training partner, Tolleys.

As part of the training process you will also receive on-the-job training in-house to enable you to put the theory into practice.
