Tŷ Hafan is a beautiful children's hospice located on the picturesque Vale of Glamorgan coastline. Covering South, East and West of Wales Tŷ Hafan offers a beautiful, newly refurbished working environment set in idyllic ground a short distance from the metropolitan area of Cardiff.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our established Family Wellbeing and Outreach Services team as a Creative Arts Practitioner. This new role is part time at 30 hours per week.

**About the Role**

We are looking for a passionate and driven qualified Creative Arts Practitioner to join our Psychological Therapies Service, which forms part of our bereavement service offer. The Creative Arts Practitioner role will assess the holistic needs of individual children and plan and facilitate meaningful and appropriate 1-1 Therapeutic Art interventions, and deliver creative arts led group interventions alongside other Therapists. The role holder will be pivotal in the delivery of memory work for children and families using a number of creative methods. This post will be working with children and families to create long lasting memories and often in extremely emotive situations. The role will be based at the hospice and in the community.

Hours for the role are 30 hours. Applicants will be required to work flexibly, occasional weekend and evenings as and when required. Driving licence and use of car with ability to travel across the South, West and East areas of Wales is essential.

**About You**

We are seeking a creatively qualified individual with experience in delivering adaptable therapeutic interventions for children with a wide range of disabilities. You will have a strong understanding of child development and assessment, including the specific needs of children with complex medical conditions and abilities.

You will be IT competent, with organisational skills and the ability to plan, prioritise, and manage your workload effectively.

As a personable and approachable individual, you will work well in a challenging environment, with the ability to work under pressure in a high-emotional-intensity setting. Throughout your role, you will demonstrate our values in everything you do.
