Our client, a highly regarded insurer based in West Malling, is currently looking for a Real Estate Underwriter.

Although based in West Malling, this role will focus on working with brokers based around Bristol and Birmingham to strengthen the company's Real Estate presence in the market.

There will also be a wide range of internal development programmes and assistance with professional qualifications provided, to help you achieve as many of your career goals as possible.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Support profitable delivery of the Mid-Market (Real Estate) account by underwriting bespoke risks.
- Developing and supporting mutually beneficial relationships within a panel of (Specialist & Network) Real Estate brokers based around Bristol and Birmingham through positive engagement.
- Actively contributing to the growth targets of the team optimising sales and retention through monthly meetings with Bristol and Birmingham, both in person and on MS Teams.
- Taking ownership of allocated cases and working proactively with the broker to negotiate the right outcome.
- Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of the Commercial Lines market, the regional broking marketplace, and legislation / litigation which could affect the writing of business.
- Supporting referrals within your team, as well as providing technical assistance and guidance to junior colleagues.

**Key Requirements**
- Strong trading skills, with proven experience in building and maintaining relationships to support development of broker accounts.
- Experience in Underwriting and Trading Mid-Market Real Estate products.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
