The Specialist Services Account is a significant contributor within our Metros & Civil Division. The Account Leader will be a key member of the management team and will work closely with other Account Leaders across the division and the wider Mott MacDonald across global sectors and practices. As the Specialist Services Account Leader, your account will be responsible for the delivery of tailored cutting edge engineering solutions to internal and external clients across specialist services such as advanced structural analysis, dynamics, noise & vibration for new and pre-existing assets whilst working closely with other teams specialised in materials technology, civils asset management, expert witness advisory and information management across the Principal Account.
You will be responsible to:

- Develop and deliver the Specialist Services Account business plan across sectors, in line with the overall Principal Account strategy and Divisional goals
- Grow and maintain relationships with existing and new clients, the wider market and internal business contacts to influence and impact the growth and direction of the business
- Win work and drive business development opportunities with responsibility for heading the direction and focus of proposals
- Drive excellence in service delivery, development of new services, innovative solutions and implement continuous improvement actions
- Manage the overall account performance towards commercial targets including the control of overhead budgets for business development and proposals
- Provide technical leadership to specialist services account projects including expertise in one or more specialist aspects of the account, ensuring successful delivery across the account with focus on client satisfaction
- Guide, support and develop technical staff and take on recruitment activities in line with account strategy to drive capability in specialist skills
- As an experienced professional within the built environment, you have a background of delivering advanced engineering solutions to stimulating and dynamic infrastructure projects within the design and construction fields. You have technical experience in advanced analysis and design, with capabilities in commercial management, business development and achieving targets in an engineering consultancy environment. You are a great communicator with the ability to grow and nurture internal cross unit relationships and support networks, whilst striving to deliver technical excellence through tailored solutions to various clients with an interest for continuous innovation.
You will be able to demonstrate the following:

- A Degree (BSc MSc, PhD or equivalent) within an Engineering discipline
- Chartered with a relevant professional institution (e.g. ICE, IStructE etc.)
- Experience working globally across different sectors and working knowledge of international engineering standards
- Experience guiding and mentoring team members with an interest in the development of other professionals and skills
- Lateral thinker with good inter-personal and motivational skills
- An established network within a range of clients, industry partners and professional institutions within the built environment
- An interest in the engineering solutions for climate-resilient infrastructure assets and carbon net zero
