**Primary Purpose**

This is a newly created role. Supporting the Marketing Manager, you will join a small yet productive marketing team, working across both Planet IT and Planet Recruitment. Marketing touches every area within the Planet businesses.

The marketing department’s key areas of focus are driving Search Engine enquiries (SEO & PPC), Social Media, Website traffic & performance, Events (both in-person & virtual), Sales Team support, Internal Marketing and so much more.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage and update social media accounts.
- Monitor and report on the performance of digital marketing campaigns using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, LinkedIn Analytics, and others. Don’t worry, training will be given
- Conduct market research to help identify new opportunities and trends.
- Support the development and implementation of SEO strategies to improve the visibility and ranking of our website.
- Help support our regular in-person and virtual events.
- Attend regular training sessions and workshops to develop your skills and knowledge in digital marketing.

**Behaviours & Skills Required**

As it is a junior role, we are realistic about experience but examples of your own projects or hobbies with a marketing focus would be great to see.
- Ability to learn on your feet. Training will be provided but there will be a lot of on-the-job learning.
- Strong communication skills
- Creativity and attention to detail
- Emotional intelligence - Able to build relationships with various personality types across Planet IT, Planet Recruitment, our partner companies, and clients.
- Experience in Microsoft Office - especially Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
- Experience with design software and a history of creating visual content.

Bonus points for:

- Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, in particular Illustrator & Photoshop.
- A track record in blogging or with a social channel who loves educating their following.
- An interest in emerging tech

This will evolve into a hybrid role. At first, you will be office based but pretty quickly the working week can be structured as followed:

- One or two days a week at Planet IT, Milton Park Abingdon OX14 4RY
- One Day a week at Planet Recruitment, Oxford OX4 2JY
- The other days as you wish, at home or in the office.
- When we host events, you may be needed to work elsewhere, e.g London. Travel expenses can be claimed.
- There will need to be flexibility on the amount and which days of the week will be spent at each office.
