**Job Title**: Children and Youth Workshop Intern

**Location**: [Leicester; remote]

**Duration**: [12 weeks - ongoing]

**Hours**: [15 hrs per week]

**Role Overview**:
As a Children and Youth Workshop Intern, you will have the exciting opportunity to assist in the development and delivery of workshops and classes aimed at children and young people. This internship will provide you with hands-on experience in designing engaging activities, fostering creativity, and promoting learning in a fun and supportive environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Assist in Workshop Planning**: Collaborate with the workshop team to brainstorm, plan, and develop creative workshop ideas and lesson plans tailored to the interests and needs of children and young people.
- **Prepare Workshop Materials**: Help gather and organize materials, props, and resources needed for workshops, ensuring that everything is ready and accessible for smooth execution.
- **Facilitate Workshops and Classes**: Support workshop facilitators in delivering interactive sessions, engaging participants, and maintaining a positive and inclusive atmosphere throughout the activities.
- **Interact with Participants**: Interact with children and young people during workshops, providing guidance, encouragement, and assistance as needed to enhance their learning experience.
- **Collect Feedback**: Assist in collecting feedback from participants and stakeholders to evaluate the effectiveness of workshops and identify areas for improvement.
- **Contribute to Evaluation and Reflection**: Participate in debrief sessions with the workshop team to reflect on workshop outcomes, share insights, and brainstorm ideas for future workshops.
- **Assist with Administrative Tasks**: Help with administrative duties such as scheduling workshops, managing registrations, and organizing documentation related to workshop planning and evaluation.
- **Stay Updated on Best Practices**: Stay informed about current trends and best practices in workshop facilitation, child development, and youth engagement to enhance the quality and relevance of workshops.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Enthusiasm for working with children and young people, and a passion for creating engaging and educational experiences.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with participants of diverse backgrounds and ages.
- Creativity and innovation in developing workshop ideas and activities.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience working with children or youth is preferred but not required.
- All skills can be enhanced and taught whilst working
- Knowledge African and Caribbean culture
- Enhanced DBS Certificate Needed (If needed we can maybe pay for check)
