**Your role**:
This position is a fantastic chance for a driven and aspirational person to join the Council's finance team. You will primarily work with the Council's fully owned company, Leigh Sports Village (home of Leigh Leopards and Manchester United Women’s and Under 21’s football teams), supporting their management team and offering first-rate financial services in a variety of fields.

In addition to performing array of regulatory and operational day-to-day duties like budgeting, costing and pricing plans, VAT, and banking, you will be instrumental in supporting the company's business and transformation initiatives.

**About you**:
You will be able to demonstrate significant accounting and financial management abilities, knowledge, and experience in addition to having a full CCAB certificate or working towards one. You will be able to present relevant financial information to enable effective and informed decision making. You can effectively lead a small team and interact with a variety of stakeholders thanks to your strong social skills.
