**Job Summary**

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Barista & All-Rounder to join our small, friendly team at Cookie Queen in Truro. You’ll be crafting delicious coffee and drinks, but that’s just the start This hands-on role also involves baking, decorating our famous cookie sandwiches, dispatching postal orders, and keeping our shop sparkling clean—including washing dishes and tidying as you go. Lone working will be required, so you’ll need to be confident working independently.**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and serve a variety of high-quality beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks (barista experience essential)
- Bake and decorate cookie sandwiches and assist with food prep, ensuring everything looks and tastes amazing
- Dispatch postal orders accurately and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, including washing up and general tidying
- Engage with customers, take orders, and provide friendly, helpful service
- Handle cash and card transactions with accuracy
- Manage time effectively to ensure smooth service, especially during busy periods
- Support team members and pitch in wherever needed to keep things running smoothly

**Skills & Requirements**
- Barista experience (essential)
- Comfortable with food prep and keen to learn new baking and decorating skills
- Tidy, organised, and able to work independently (lone working required)
- Great time management and problem-solving abilities
- Friendly, positive attitude and a team player
- Over 18 (required for insurance and lone working)
- Flexible to work extra hours as needed to cover holidays and sickness

**Contract**: 10 hours per week, with the option for more hours to suit business needs.Join us and help spread sweetness—one coffee and cookie at a time

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 10 per week
