**About the client**:
The client, a distinguished educational institution located in Rochdale, stands as a beacon of learning and academic excellence in the community. The dedicated faculty and staff members are committed to fostering a supportive atmosphere where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

**Hours of work**:
Monday - Friday between the hours of 16:00 - 19:00

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Thoroughly disinfect and sanitise medical equipment, surfaces, and rooms.
- Follow strict infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections.
- Properly handle and dispose of medical waste according to guidelines.
- Clean and sanitise public areas like rooms, restrooms, and corridors.
- Perform specialised cleaning in critical areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and stock supplies in public areas.
- Ensure cleaning equipment is well-maintained and functional.
- Communicate maintenance issues promptly to supervisors.
- Keep accurate records of cleaning activities for compliance.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines, using PPE as needed.
- Respond to emergency cleaning situations effectively.
- Collaborate with cleaning and medical staff for a clean environment.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Cleaning Operative or similar role
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
- Good communication skills to report any issues or concerns to management
