**CAMHS Practitioner Pay Rate**:£35-£40 per hour (assignment rate) depending on experience
**Location**:Blackpool
**Contract Type**:Locum - At least 6 months
**Days/Hours**:Primarily 37.5 hours, Monday-Friday, 3 days in office, 2 remote WFH shifts.

**Duties of the CAMHS Practitioner**:
- Provide full clinical assessments of children, young people and their families referred to CAMHS in a variety of setting and situations including any duty rota. You may be required to work weekends and evenings.
- Manage a clinical caseload, comprising of assessments and ongoing direct therapeutic interventions to children, young people, and their parents/ carers. This will include regular liaison and collaborative working with other agencies i.e., social services and education.
- Regularly discuss clinical issues and concerns with the CAMHS Team Leader, Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and colleagues regarding on going therapeutic work.
- Work closely with other agency staff and provide regular professional consultation, training, and advice to identify and address the mental health needs of children and young people as early as possible.
- Understand and work within Child Protection protocols and guidelines.
- Regularly raise awareness and promote the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people within the wider community.
- Collaborate with a range of other agencies e.g., Social Services Education, private and voluntary sector to promote a network of services providing help and support to children, young people, parents, and their carers.
- Participate in and provided training and supervision to other team members.
- Ensure the continued involvement and participation of children, young people and their parent’s or cares in on-going service development.
- Maintain a high standard of record keeping and reports.
- Participate in clinical governance programs within CAMHS.
**Requirements of the CAMHS Practitioner**:
- Degree or equivalent in Mental Health Nursing
- Experience working as a Community Psychiatric Nurse
- NMC Registration
- Experience working in an NHS setting
