Our client is a well-established manufacturing brand that has built their reputation on the quality of products and the efficiency in which they deliver. In recognition of their strong brand and continued growth, we're recruiting for an experienced SystemsApplication Engineer to join their vibrant team.

You'll be part of a team committed to be their centre of excellence for the product solutions (automation) for their clients. You'll support key stakeholders; sales team, automation partners and segment teams by providing technical based support on Projectsand throughout the customer journey.

Role requirements:

- Assist external customers and business development teams with technical enquiries.
- Assist the business development teams with updates on new products.
- Collaborate with Projects, Business Development and Marketing teams to produce effective training material.
- Provide technical and product support for customers with a particular focus on Factory Automation, IOT, cloud-based services, Building Automation and Process Automation.
- Maintain a robust catalogue of competitor intelligence with a particular reference to new and innovative products entering the marketplace.
- Attend customer meetings with sales managers to demonstrate customer solutions and support clients when required.
- When required visit customers to resolve hardware or upgrade issues.
- Support where required the wider marketing and sales teams with exhibitions.
- Handle and respond to, in a timely fashion, stock check requests from HQ.
- Train production operatives on how to test assemblies of I/O and electronics.
- Assist the production teams with technical support for custom assemblies.
- Ad Hoc projects in support of the wider business.
- Experience of working in the building or electrical automation industry.
- Sound working knowledge of electrical products.
- Experience of automation network protocols e.g. BACnet, KNX, DALI, Profibus, Profinet and Modbus.
- The ability and knowledge to train and coach on products.
- PLC Programming, i.e. IEC 61131-3.
- Strong IT knowledge (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
