Cleaner

Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in various settings, including hotels, commercial buildings, and more. This is a great opportunity for individuals with customer service experience and a passion for providing a clean and comfortable environment.

1. To clean all designated areas to a high standard using the appropriate methodology and solution to include damp dusting, polishing and disinfecting or de-sanitation.

2. To work as part of a team in ensuring the home is clean and fit for purpose or its function without posing a risk to anyone.

3. To work safely in line with all internal company policies and in recognition of all legislation to include infection control and COSHH together with an awareness of Health & Safety legislation.

4. To remove all waste safely and store the trolley or products only in an area that is safe and does not pose a risk to clients.

5. To adhere to infection control procedures and plan workload accordingly in agreement with the housekeeper. This includes general cleaning, low and high cleaning, day to day service and the weekly monthly and quarterly jobs/tasks.

6. To use only the suggested cleaning methods and solutions, do not mix solutions and adhere to the COSHH sheets for preparation use and first aid.

7. To report any unsafe practices or equipment alerting the maintenance man of any items in urgent need of repair and ensure the safety of others.

8. To clean and set up empty rooms to enable new occupation and prepare the room in advance of admission. This may include disinfectant and decontamination procedures.

9. To use the laundry in accordance with the instruction and manufacturers advice for care of all soft furnishings and items of personal clothing, sluice all soiled or foul materials and use the colour coding as labelled - universal.

10. To ensure the correct labels are in place and adhere to washing instructions on garments, note any no n labelled items and refer back to care staff.

11. To wash and dry personal items of clothing and return back to the owner ensuring the wardrobe is clean and arranged, to press items in need of ironing.

12. To strip beds and decontaminate the mattress in line with local infection control procedures.

13. To take care of the equipment and avoid abuse only working in line with manufacturers recommendation.

14. To maintain client confidentiality and protect client privacy by knocking on doors prior to entry and ensuring dignity is preserved by addressing clients in the appropriate way and respecting their wishes regardless of background and culture.

15. To reduce malodours where noted and deep clean areas known to hold or aggravate smells.

16. To be familiar with all working local policies and procedures in order to protect and comply with regulatory requirements.

17. To use and report any inadequate stock of chemical or cleaning products.

18. To adhere to local safeguarding procedures and alert any areas of concern in relation to client care.

19. Any other related work regarded as part of the responsibility of a domestic or housekeeping task.

20. You have a duty of care to have the appropriate vaccination relevant to protect the vulnerable clients that you serve.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £8.07-£11.79 per hour

Expected hours: 16 per week
