We are excited to announce that we are recruiting for **four Neighbourhood Officer roles**: three permanent positions and one fixed-term contract** These are fantastic opportunities where you will be managing properties in various areas within **Calderdale.** **This role is field based; you will balance your time between working in the field and from home.**

You will be focusing on the delivery of high-quality tenancy management services, providing excellent customer care, making a difference in neighbourhoods and working to improve the lives of our residents. **Requirements**:
**_ Outline of Key responsibilities for the Neighbourhood Officer..._**
- As a Neighbourhood Officer, you will draw on your strong background in general needs housing management and your understanding of housing and estate management standards and practices. This includes expertise in key areas such as anti-social behaviour (ASB), lettings, property exchanges, repairs, rent management, and safeguarding. You will work closely with multi-agency teams and attend partnership meetings to ensure the best possible support for a diverse range of customers. Your role will be central in helping to maintain and improve the quality of life in our communities.
- You will provide advice and assistance to our residents on all housing matters so they can successfully maintain their tenancy. This includes information on legal rights, responsibilities of their tenancy agreement and managing any welfare and safeguarding concerns.
- You will be responsible for showing customers around empty properties and carrying out lettings in accordance with our policies & procedures
- You will be the point of contact for housing management services on a patch, including the enforcement of the Association’s conditions of tenancy, particularly in relation to the condition of property and/or garden. You will work as part of a team to deliver excellent customer service and meet all performance objectives.
- You will work 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional evening or weekend work depending on business needs. We offer flexible working arrangements in line with our Smart Working culture to ensure we provide an excellent and accessible service for our customers.
- Your time will be divided between working within the neighbourhood you manage and working from home, with office days for dynamic team collaboration. These will include brainstorming sessions, team meetings, shared learning days, and bespoke training programmes tailored to individual learning styles. This flexible approach fosters innovation, teamwork, and personal development. You'll have the autonomy to manage your own diary and schedule, ensuring you can balance your workload effectively.

**_We are looking for someone who has _**
- **Full UK drivers licence and access to a car as the role is field based**:

- **Experience and knowledge of housing/ lettings or ideally social housing**:

- Demonstrating proven experience in dealing with the public both in person and over the phone, skilled in managing sensitive situations where individuals may be distressed, anxious, or reluctant to accept advice.
- You possess excellent face-to-face customer service skills, along with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately, and have a strong track record of working with a diverse range of customers and effectively managing various situations.
- Self-motivation, with a solution-focused approach to working with customers and stakeholders.
- Personal resilience to manage a fast-paced, demanding role, juggling multiple tasks efficiently.

- **Starting salary of £29,582 per annum**:

- **Annual pay scale increases within the banding, (£29,582 - £34,437)**:

- **27 days holiday** (rising to 32 over 5 years’ service) + bank holidays
- **Hybrid working** - you will manage your week by dividing your time between working in the field and from home
