**About the Job**:
Learning Support Assistant

LARA Search is now seeking a compassionate and experienced Support Worker to join a team of dedicated professionals at a small and welcoming special college in Carshalton. The college caters for students between the ages of 16 and 25 years old with a range of additional needs, including Complex Needs, Autism, and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).

If you're someone who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people with additional needs, and if you're looking to start a new role after the Easter Holidays, we want to hear from you

**Key responsibilities**:

- Supporting students with additional needs in their day-to-day activities.
- Encouraging students to engage with learning activities and promoting independent living skills.
- Creating a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
- Liaising with colleagues and parents/carers to ensure effective communication and support.
- Providing personal care where necessary.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working with individuals with additional needs, particularly those with complex needs, autism, and PMLD.
- Understanding of safeguarding procedures and best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Availability to work during college hours. (Monday-Thursday, 8:45 am - 4:30 pm)
