**Job Purpose / Overview**: We are seeking an experienced IWS Planner with Mechanical, Electrical & HVAC (MEH) and Commissioning experience to join the Central Controls Team within the Planning Discipline of Project Controls. Reporting to the IPC Planning Manager, you will be responsible for managing the Level 2/4 (client) Integrated Work Schedule (IWS) and aligning Level 3 (contract) schedules, ensuring adherence to HPC processes. You will provide time-related data and analysis to support efficient decision-making for the timely delivery of project scope.
The Integrated Project Controls (IPC) Function acts as the centre of excellence and the intelligent owner of the single source of delivery performance information, enabling the successful execution of the HPC Project.
**Key Responsibilities: Team & Collaboration**:
- Support the IPC Lead Planner in implementing and maintaining Project Controls processes for Planning.
- Work alongside Senior Project/Programme Managers to provide monthly reports with insightful data analysis.
- Collaborate with all IPC disciplines (Cost, Estimating, Risk, Performance Measurement & Analysis) and Project Support Functions to ensure alignment with project goals.
**Core Planning Processes**:
- Develop and maintain the IWS baseline in Primavera P6, ensuring full logic-linked work plans aligned with Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and construction methodologies.
- Ensure the IWS (Level 2/4) is updated within agreed timelines.
- Analyze trends and changes within the project and provide performance indicators highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Identify, analyze, and provide solutions to scheduling issues.
- Produce high-quality schedule reports on a defined reporting cycle with clear commentary on key project drivers.
- Ensure compliance with project governance, scheduling standards, and document control policies.
**Functional Leadership**:
- Promote best practices and continuous improvements within the Planning Discipline.
- Facilitate collaboration between Programme teams and industry partners for transparency and consistency in approach.
- Support recruitment efforts and act as a role model for the HPC Project, embodying its values of Humility, Positivity, Clarity, Respect, and Solidarity.
**Knowledge, Skills & Experience**:Essential Skills & Experience**:
- Strong understanding of scheduling methodologies and techniques.
- Practical experience with engineering, procurement, and construction processes.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6.
- Understanding of Project Controls disciplines (Cost, Estimating, Risk) and earned value analysis.
- Familiarity with NEC and FIDIC contract frameworks.
- High-level analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
**Desirable Skills**:
- Influencing and stakeholder management abilities.
- Strong relationship-building skills with project stakeholders.
- Experience with earned value management tools such as EcoSys.
- Prior experience in the nuclear sector.
**Qualifications**:
- Degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related field (or HND/equivalent with relevant experience).
- Chartered or equivalent professional status preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in a Planning/Scheduling role within a major construction project.
