Evening Caretaker

*Job Summary*

**Job Overview**:The Evening Caretaker is responsible for overseeing the general maintenance of the College

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Inspecting the building, including heating, cooling, lighting and alarm systems to make sure they are in good working order
- Performing basic repairs and maintenance tasks as required
- Liaising with contractors to ensure that they complete projects on time
- Carrying out fire alarm and emergency lighting tests to schedule
- Closing the building at the end of the day and locking all doors and windows when not in operation
- Adhering to the company’s safety policies to create a safe working environment for everyone
- Completing scheduled maintenance tasks
- Conducting preventative maintenance and identifying when items need upgrading or replacing
- Painting and decorating or conducting repairs to flooring and other fittings
- Ensuring rooms are maintained and fully equipped
- Delivering excellent customer service

**Additional admin/Reception duties**
- Covering reception and additional admin support when required
- Any other additional tasks required by the Office Manager

Hourly Rate: £12.25 p/hr

Probation period: 3 months

Place of work: on site in our Reading office

Hours: Mon-Sat 5.30pm-8.30pm

Holidays: 28 days including bank holidays (pro rata)

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £12.25 per hour

Expected hours: 18 per week
