The Procurement team spans across the UK and US, with a dedicated team focused on leveraging global opportunities in Indirect, Direct and IT. We are currently looking for an individual tojoin the Global IT Procurement team. The Global team is made up of 30 talented professionals; with a clear mission: to enable a clean, fair, and affordable energy future through commercial, responsible, and innovative supply chain leadership, specificallyfocused on leveraging global opportunities across the entire business.

Working as an IT Senior Category Lead covering the Networks category, reporting to the Global IT Category Manager, you will be responsible for developing, executing, and implementing global procurement and sourcing strategies for across a Networks spendof c.£275m per annum.

The roles focus on creating and executes category strategies that will deliver value, supply chain security and support the broader business sustainability agenda.

These are some of the **key accountabilities** we need:
**Category Management**
- Partner effectively with stakeholders to become a trusted business partner
- Provide strategic direction, communicate goals, practises, and processes of the Global Sourcing organization with respective business partners
- Able to execute complex sourcing activities implementing more than one option: RFX, e-sourcing and reverse auctions
- Analyse forecast trends and track category savings targets in support of Procurement and category team commitment and goals.

**Commercial Negotiation**
- Solid understanding of contractual terms and conditions and able to craft structured agreements with legal and stakeholder input
- Develop negotiation plans with clarity of desired outcomes, leveraging stakeholder input and support where appropriate
- Understanding of supplier's position, desired outcomes, and leverage points

**Supplier Relationship Management**
- Demonstrates a collaborative approach with supply base and develops integrated plans to drive appropriate value for business and customer requirements
- Builds appropriate supplier performance measurements (SLAs/KPIs) into contracts

**Systems and Analytics**
- Ability to adapt to different ERP systems such as SAP, Tableau, Ariba, Spend Analytics
- Understands how to analyse large data sets and extract information for strategic decision making

You will need to demonstrate creativity and commercial acumen, to identify opportunities to drive value and deliver the net zero ambition. This will include partnering with the business to secure supply and manage demand, working with the supply chain todrive innovation, exploring new markets and technologies, and driving sustainability and social value.

We are looking for people who have the following attributes:

- Comprehensive experience in IT strategic sourcing and contract negotiations
- Comprehensive experience in leading development of category or sourcing strategies and management of tendering events
- Experience of Networks Procurement (preferred although not essential)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, specifically working cross-functionally to support critical business objectives at all levels of the company.
- Effective project management skills
- Working towards or have CIPS Level 6 ( preferred although not essential).
- Proactive with a positive attitude and desire to learn
- Working knowledge of ERP systems
- Ability to demonstrate and live the companies values: 'finding a better way', 'doing the right thing' and 'making it happen'
- Have a passion for enabling an affordable net zero and are motivated to make a difference.
