**Location**_:_ Libanus, Brecon, Powys, LD3 8EN
**Pay**_:_ £12.35 - £12.65 per hour (depending on qualifications)
**Contract**_:_ Permanent, Full-Time
**Hours**_:_ 8am till 8pm or 8pm till 8am | Up to 40 hours per week | Rolling rota (includes days & nights)
**Rota**_:_ Mixture of day and night shifts | Every other weekend | Rota issued approximately 2 months in advance

We’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate Carer to join our team at The Mountains Care Home, where your kindness and professionalism will make a daily difference to the lives of older adults living with dementia and other mental health conditions.

If you’re an experienced care worker or hold your Level 2 QCF/NVQ in Health and Social Care, we’d love to hear from you.

**About The Mountains**

Located in Libanus, near Brecon, our specialist home is set against the backdrop of the beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park. The Mountains provides 24-hour care and support to older adults aged 65+ with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and complex mental health needs.

Our team is known for its warmth, compassion, and person-centred approach in a peaceful, rural setting.

**Your Role**

As a Carer, you’ll support residents with their daily routines and wellbeing while promoting independence, respect, and comfort.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Deliver personal care with empathy and dignity
- Support residents with mobility, mealtimes and personal care
- Help implement care plans tailored to individual needs
- Offer emotional reassurance and build meaningful connections
- Keep accurate records and report any changes in health or mood
- Work flexibly across day and night shifts as scheduled

**What We’re Looking For**
- Level 2 QCF/NVQ in Health & Social Care (or a commitment to work toward it)
- Previous experience in a care setting is required
- Knowledge of dementia and mental health support is preferred
- A calm, compassionate, and respectful approach
- Ability to work as part of a close-knit team and on your own
- Willingness to work a rolling rota including every other weekend and night shifts
