Our client, a Local Authority in the West Midlands is seeking to recruit an Assistant Director for Adult Social Care on an interim basis. This is a senior appointment which would be ideally suited to an experienced interim with gravitas who can hit the groundrunning.
You will join an experienced and supportive senior leadership team, where close collegiate working with elected members and colleagues is essential. The service is in the midst of a transformation programme and a key part of your role will be to supportthe service during this period of transition.
The position is due to start in February, is expected to last between around four months and can command a daily rate of circa £850 inside IR35 via an umbrella company. This is a hybrid working position which will require an onsite presence a few days aweek.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the transformation of Adult Social Care services and the delivery of improvements
- Fulfil the requirements of the role of Assistant Director of Adult Social Care
- Lead the development and delivery of services such as Early Intervention and Prevention Enablement Services, Telecare, Lifeline and Falls Response, and Short Breaks Services
- Remit will include Assessment and Care Management through; Localities, Hospital, Learning Disabilities, Mental Health, Occupational Therapies,Dementia Support Team, Shared Lives, Principal Social Worker and Safeguarding
- Listen to local residents, service users, carers and families and understand their issues
- Motivate the team, giving them clarity of direction, and the tools to do their job
- Act as an ambassador for the region and for the Council
Essential Requirements
- Experience working in a Local Authority at Assistant Director level
- Strong leader with gravitas who instils confidence
- Adult Social Care Experience
