**Contract**:Fixed-term Maternity Cover, term time only (39 weeks per year plus 5 CPD days per year)

The School is now looking to appoint a Fixed-term Library Assistant to work in the Library during a period of Maternity Leave. The post holder will be responsible for two Cover Supervisors who will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day running and effective delivery of the services in the School’s busy library. This will involve dealing with queries from staff and students, helping students to find resources, shelving new and returned books and supporting events and clubs such as Book Club and World Book Day.

Some experience of library work is preferable, but is not essential. Applicants should have excellent written and oral communication skills, proficient IT skills and enjoy working collaboratively with teachers and students. An understanding of children’s literature would be advantageous along with an enthusiasm for improving the literacy skills of young people.
