As the **Quality Production Engineer** you will report to the Senior Quality and CI Engineer. You will investigate quality and production issues within the production departments, and implement effective solutions. Work on continuous improvementprojects to achieve efficiencies and consistently high product quality.
- Work with the Quality Team and Production teams to investigate quality and production issues
- Monitor and highlight production quality issues to the Production Manager
- Create and update work instructions for production and test procedures
- Train colleagues on new and updated work instructions
- Update Bills of Materials as required
- Assist Customer Service with product failure diagnosis and remedial work
- Update known fault registers based on production line failures and product returns
- Develop jigs / fixtures / tooling for both product testing and product manufacturing
- Work with colleagues to complete project handovers from Engineering to Production
- Liaise with suppliers regarding quality issues and changes to specification
- Assist with the generation of non-conformance reports for any parts that do not meet quality standards
- Compliance - assist with product certification and quality audits

To be successful in this role of **Quality Production Engineer** we would love to speak to anyone who has experience of:

- Experience of working as a production engineer
- Engineering qualification is essential, a production engineering degree is preferable
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Experience of using measurement and inspection tools
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principals such as 5S, Kaizen, Visual Management etc
- Quality control experience; ideally within an SME environment
- Good project management, organisation and communication skills, coupled with a flexible and cooperative approach
- Good understanding of production quality requirements, gained through practical experience in production and quality in a manufacturing environment
- Organised, thorough, and a proven completer / finisher
- T. literate, CAD experience an advantage
