Fleet and Procurement Coordinator

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Fleet and Procurement Coordinator to join our expanding Procurement Department. This role plays a key function with ensuring that our Fleet is kept safely on the road, as well as assisting the wider procurement team with purchasing/procurement tasks. This role is based from our Head Office, located in the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus, Didcot.
**Role and responsibilities**:
As a Fleet and Procurement Coordinator at SMS Environmental, you will be responsible for:
**Fleet Support**
- To organise vehicles for new employees and to arrange return of vehicles as required
- Ensuring required vehicles are entered onto the Congestion and Date charge databases
- To check vehicles for damage on delivery, when swapped between drivers and on return
- Recording of traffic fines / vehicle deductions and liaising these with the drivers
- Other administrative tasks including project tasks as required
**Purchasing Support**
- Working in conjunction with the Fleet and Purchasing Coordinators to ensure the coordination of all purchase orders and processing goods receipts for the company
- Distribution of equipment and uniform to engineers
- Maintaining the cost records
- Work with the Finance Department to ensure timely processing of invoices
- Effectively utilising the asset management system
- Maintaining supplier details and performing supplier checks
- Managing the supplier questionnaire process
- Working with the FPS on maintaining a preferred supplier listing
- Challenging non-preferred supplier spend
- Working with FPS to produce monthly KPIs
- Any other tasks relating to purchasing as necessary
**Key Skills and Experience**:
We are looking for someone who is able to demonstrate:

- **Previous Fleet experience -Desirable**
**There are some requirements that are needed to take up this post**:
- Full UK Driving Licence - You will be required to drive company vehicles on occasion

All roles at SMS require a DBS check; SMS Environmental will cover the cost of this if you do not already hold a valid DBS certificate.
