**MASH, Assessment & C&FFT Social Workers**
We are looking for enthusiastic and committed, qualified social workers (Social Work England registration required) social workers of all levels of experience to join us here at Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole Council. You will be arriving at an exciting time. We have already secured our new permanent senior management team across Children’s Services and are now looking for experienced social workers to join us in making a difference in Children's lives.
We offer a range of learning opportunities in different ways which will suit different learning styles through our Academy:
- Formal learning and development e.g. specialist training courses and post qualifying programmes through our partnership with Bournemouth University.
- Informal learning e.g., Workshops, Group Supervision.
- Self-directed learning and development through our on-line resources, for example CC Inform Children, Research in Practice and our Academy website.
Every practitioner will be able to engage in our Practice Fundamentals Programme when they join us. We will also provide a range of more specialised training opportunities to support career progression as well as provide leadership and management development opportunities. We want a clear direction of travel. If you join BCP as a newly qualified social worker; we want to support you to work towards becoming an advanced practitioner, a Practice Educator, a Team Manager and even a Director of Children’s Services in the future

**We currently have vacancies within our front-line MASH, Assessment & Children & Families First Teams**.
As a Social Worker, your key responsibilities will be to:
- Complete assessments under the Children Act 1989 (Section 17 and 47) to immediately safeguard children deemed at risk of significant harm.
- Offer support to children and families or signpost to relevant support agencies where necessary/appropriate to ensure outstanding care services are in place and children can reach their full potential
- Communicate with other agencies and share information to safeguard children.
- Work with the police to carry out joint investigations which promote the safety of children deemed at risk of significant harm.
- Create long-term solutions to improve the children’s lives and strive for the best possible outcomes.
- Support and monitor children who have a child in need or child protection plan
- Work with families to achieve the best possible outcomes for children and young people
- Seek permanency for children who cannot live with their birth families
