**THE OPPORTUNITY**

We are currently seeking a Data Privacy Technology & Tooling Consultant to drive the growth of our industry recognised data practice. This is an exciting opportunity to be a leader in a growing team of data practitioners to initiate and implement leading-edge data projects for our top-tier Financial Services clients. You will likely have experience running a consulting business and be a respected industry professional in the data sphere.

Our data security & privacy practice delivers a range of data programmes, including data privacy & security operations, data privacy & protection regulations, data loss prevention and cyber risk analytics & reporting expertise, to deliver leading-edge data projects globally for our top-tier Financial Services clients

Our Data consultants are passionate about data and catapulting the industry towards a new data driven future. Each team member and leader will develop the UK Data Practice capabilities and the broader Global Data Practice to support industry changing topics such as Cloud, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. As a team member, collaboration, enthusiasm and encouragement are key to ensuring we maintain our culture and ensure we work in an environment where clients become colleagues.

**As a Data Privacy Technology & Tooling Consultant You Will**
- Have the ability to create a collaborative culture, driving talent development across the UK Data Practice, provide mentoring and coaching for those developing their careers in data
- Have a strong commercial focus, ability to develop client relationships, lead sales opportunities and develop data propositions
- Be comfortable working across multiple projects and initiatives, driving the growth of new and existing data capabilities, engaging internal and external stakeholders
- Have the desire to build market networks and relationships, to enhance the market awareness of the UK Data Practice, engaging with technical and non-technical audiences, within Finance and other industries

**SKILLS & EXPERTISE**
- 5+ years of consulting experience likely in a senior leadership position
- Strong practical knowledge of the principles and implications of at least one major data privacy regulation e.g. GDPR, CCPA, LGPD
- Experience of two or more of the following control processes: DPIA/PIA, Cross-border data transfers, Records of Processing, Data Retention, Consent Management, Data Subject Access Requests
- Experience of control design, implementation / embedment, privacy control assessment, and reporting to operational risk
- Experience of delivering privacy solutions in a global matrix environment, working closely with Legal, Operational Risk, Data Privacy Office, Data Management Office / CDO, and Information Security
- Ability to analyse a range of data privacy laws and regulatory obligations and express themes
- Experience of one or more of the following data privacy and security technologies:

- Enterprise Key Management
- Cloud Data Protection
- Application Level
- Encryption covering:

- Tokenisation
- Consent or Data Subject Rights Management (e.g. OneTrust)
- Data Discovery and flows mapping (e.g. BigID)

**PREFERRED SKILLS**
- Privacy qualifications / certifications e.g. CIPPE / CIPM / CIPT
- Practical knowledge of adjacent regulations / legal frameworks such as data residency, data sovereignty, data localisation, banking secrecy, tax
- Familiarity with ISO 27001
- Experience designing and implementing data ethics frameworks
