About you

We are asking for a high level of workmanship, a keen eye for detail and a proactive can-do attitude.

We are looking for someone with experience in maintenance, DIY, knowledge of electrical systems is an advantage but not necessary as training is provided. For this role there will be a DBS check carried out and a full driving licence will be needed.

So, what will I be doing?

As a Maintenance Person your responsibility is to maintain a safe and well-presented home. Along with the day-to-day upkeep of the home, there will be a responsibility to keep maintenance books up to date with monthly audit checks, this will include weekly fire alarms, equipment, and hot water temperature checks. Whether you are changing light bulbs, decorating a room, fixing a leaky radiator, completing record books, we ask that you do so with a kind heart and with a sense of fun.

Who else will I be working with?

We have a one-team approach throughout the home. Even though you’ll have your own responsibilities, working alongside you will be Homemakers, Laundry Assistants Care Assistants, Nurses, the Kitchen Team, Administrator and Home Manager. An example of a one-team approach would be if a Care Assistant saw a tap dripping, they wouldn’t ignore it because it’s “not their job”, they would turn it off and if they see it’s broken, come and find you to let you know.

Will I be interacting with the people living in the home?

Most definitely. Imagine if you were visiting one of your own family members, you would have a chat, maybe help to solve a crossword, have a cuppa togetherIt’s important to not only forge friendships with team members but with the people that live in the home also.
