In this dynamic role, you will be at the forefront of designing and implementing control systems, acting as a bridge between our customers and GE’s technical community.
**Key Responsibilities**
- ** Lead Technical Projects**: Drive technical project activities, lead customer kick-off meetings, and ensure successful project execution from design to commissioning.
- ** Customer and Project Management**: Participate in project risk reviews, manage project budgets in term of man-days allocated to the engineering tasks, and provide regular progress updates.
- ** Design and Documentation**: Analyse customer specifications, write project technical documentation, and validate technical solutions with customers.
- ** Technical Oversight**: Specify software and IEDs, manage technical execution planning, and ensure adherence to GE Vernova safety standards.
- ** Issue Resolution**: Address technical deviations, manage fault reports, and support site engineers remotely or on-site.
- ** Testing and Commissioning**: Lead Factory Acceptance Tests, Site Acceptance Tests, and coordinate with commissioning teams for major site milestones.
- ** Training and Support**: Provide project-specific training to customers, support tendering and commercial teams, and ensure customer satisfaction through professional project execution.
**Essential Qualifications**
- ** Educational Background**: BSc. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- ** Experience**: Demonstrated years of control system-related experience.
- ** Design Expertise**: Proficient in designing and programming electrical control systems, including SCADA / HMI, cybersecurity, network equipment, IEC61850, Firewalls, and more.
- ** Travel**: Ability to travel locally and globally, with a valid driver’s license.
**Desired Characteristics**
- **Automation and Control Systems**:In-depth knowledge of automation electrical control systems, SCADA / DCS systems, and networking communication protocols.
- ** Interpersonal and Problem-Solving Skills**:Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- ** Independent and Flexible**:Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment with a flexible approach to working hours.
- ** Communication and Teamwork**:Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to cooperate across departments.
