One of my clients is a specialist in the design, project management, installations, repairs, modernisation, service, maintenance and customer support for lift and escalator products and services within the UK. They are actively seeking a Lift Service Engineerto cover a service route in the Canterbury area. This will be a small, compact service route covering council and retail premises within the area.
The role of the Lift Service Engineer will involve;
- Working in your small geographical territory of the Canterbury and surrounding areas towards the Coast.
- Carrying out servicing and maintenance of traction and hydraulic lifts, as well as a small amount of stairlifts.
- Taking part in the company's callout rota on a 1 week in 4 basis.
- Reporting to the Service Manager on a regular basis.
- Ensuing the cleanliness and stock management of the company van.

To be considered for the role of the Lift Service Engineer, you must have;
- A full UK Driving License.
- At least 3 years' experience in the servicing and maintenance of traction and hydraulic lifts.
- Experience in maintaining stairlifts would be desirable, but not essential as training can be given.
- An NVQ 3 in Lift Servicing & Maintenance.
- Previous experience in the participation of a callout rota, and dealing with emergency breakdowns and trap-ins.

This role is offering a competitive remuneration package, including;
- A basic salary of up to £40,000 depending on experience.
- 25 days per annum plus all bank holidays and your birthday off each year. S
- Sick pay at the management's discretion.
- Working hours of Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 5.00pm.
- Callout and standby fees paid monthly, along with your basic annual salary.
- Excellent overall earning potential.
- Pay review after initial 6 month probation, along with auto-enrolment onto the company's pension scheme.
