Head of Operations Excellence

As Head of Operations Excellence, you will be the right hand person to our Chief Operating Officer, who runs our Manufacturing, Supply Chain & Logistics operation. Your remit will be to ensure that strategic projects and core activities are delivered on time in full to ensure our operations are as smooth and effective as possible and delivering towards the 3 year strategic value plan. Reporting into this role will be Project Management, Facilities, Health & Safety and Engineering & Maintenance teams.

**Your role in detail**:

- Key member of the Operations Leadership Team
- Manage 3 direct reports directly (H&S, Engineering, Projects)
- Lead core strategic projects within the operations department
- Lead for Lean Manufacturing & continuous Improvement culture across site
- Manage the team responsible for the core operations of the manufacturing & logistics site, including building development & capability building plans to prepare for 3 year strategic growth plan
- Support cross functional teams on their project milestone delivery
- Flag & mitigate risks to the Chief Operations Officers
- Work closely with the Head of IBP & Continuous Business Improvement to ensure one end to end business delivery plan
- Develop and nurture supplier relationships
- Maintain quantifiable measures for tracking actual performance against plan, implementing corrective actions where required

**We would really like to hear from you, if you have..**
- Proven experience in similar roles in a high growth environment. Previous Head of/Operations Managers, Senior Project Managers, Project Engineers may be a good fit.
- Experience in the health & beauty/cosmetics /FMCG industry beneficial
- Experience working in and leading for a Lean Manufacturing environment
- Strong project management skills, looking after large projects across a manufacturing & logistics environment
- Strong skills in holding cross functional teams accountable for delivery
- Understanding of change management techniques to ensure behaviour changes associated with projects embedded long term
- Has an understanding of the role operations plays in the P&L and ability to spot opportunities & optimise against them
- Exceptional leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to lead, motivate & develop a team
- Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and business requirements
- Effective problem-solver with strong analytical skills
- Strong project management, planning and organisational skills
- Takes personal ownership and responsibility to make things happen
