Family Assessment Practitioner/resident Warden

Inwood Residential Services are currently recruiting for an innovative and experienced Family Assessment Practitioner to work within our 6 Bedded Mother and Unit (MBU) located in Bedfordshire.
As a provider, we provide early years services for 0- to 8-year-olds, and children's homes for 8 yrs to 17yrs olds on placement. This service expands on our ethos and mission statement to change the experiences of children and families one at a time.
**Family Assessment practitioner - Mother and Baby Unit**
**Main duties**
- The Family Assessment Practitioner will be supporting mothers and babies within the accommodation and working with them to achieve independent living skills so that they may move on and live independently.
- Family Assessment Practitioner will work closely with a wide range of professionals, such as social workers, health visitors, perinatal team, and others to provide the best support to our service users and to help them fulfil their caring responsibilities.
- Family Assessment practitioners will uphold strong safeguarding practice and principles to ensure the highest standards of care for our service users. This will include active participation in child in need or child protection conferences and any other statutory arrangement that some of our service users may have.
- Family Assessment Practitioner will promote engagement positively with all our service users and be proactive with their support including providing feedback, planning activities, house meetings and key work sessions.
- The Family Assessment Practitioner will also connect service users to other agencies and services to help them thrive, live independently, and achieve their goals.
- Family Assessment Practitioner will work closely with housing officers, community protection officers and other agencies in the community to provide sustainable housing-related support to individuals in the community.
- As a Family Assessment Practitioner you will be working as a part of a dedicated team, providing personalised support, and assisting the service users to develop the skills needed to lead independent and fulfilling lives.
- Other duties will include observations, domestic duties, settling the families, and supporting them within their day to day lives.
Ideally all applicants will hold relevant experience of supporting within the children and families’ settings and have relevant qualifications/training including mandatory training and safeguarding.
Relevant qualifications include but are not limited to the below:
- Level 3 or 5 diploma in health and social care
- Level 3 diploma in children and young people’s workforce
- Level 4 diploma in work with parents

**Hours of work**
37.5 hours per week
- Monday to Sunday
