The duties of the Mortuary Administrator will include/ but not limited to:

- Primarily desk based, you must have strong organisation and interpersonal skills.
- Assisting the Mortuary technicians with morning daily checks of each deceased and accurately recording onto spreadsheets.
- Organising the work schedules of the Mortuary technicians on a daily and weekly basis considering internal priorities.
- Be responsible for entering information onto our Funeral Database to update every new deceased that comes into our care with their relevant information.
- You will be required to answer the mortuary phone lines and organise all administrative duties relating to the mortuary department.
- Liaising with Operations / Back of House managers regarding coffin making and internal transfers for viewings.
- Liaising with Funeral Arrangers and Directors regarding deceased they are looking after and when viewings will take place.
- Stock checking and ordering mortuary and cleaning products with a view of increasing efficiency and trialling new products guided by Operations Manager.

Full job role will be explained at interview stage.

**All training will be provided in house but experience is always welcomed**
- Be a great team player; working individually when the need arises.
- Be dependable and committed to the role.
- Be confident on using computers, using databases and inputting data into excel.
- Have excellent communication skills especially when talking with bereaved families, reassuring them and offering the correct advice.
- Be comfortable in a mortuary environment.
- Be able to show initiative and take instruction from line managers.

Full time hours: 40 per week

Salary will be discussed at interview. Wages are reviewed annually or sooner upon promotion.

**Salary**: £20,000.00-£22,000.00 per year
