Chalk are recruiting for this SEND Learning Specialist role to start asap - the post is Mon - Fri, 8.30-3.30pm on a long term basis.
This role will involve working with pupils EY-KS2 in a specialist SEND School. The pupils in the school have a variety of SEND and some require assistance with personal care, so experience of this and an understanding of a range of SEND is helpful..
This role will suit a positive mentor who is resilient and flexible. The school provides excellent facilities and services. You will work closely with the class teacher assisting with lessons and activities, whilst providing a happy and safe learning environment for the pupils
**To be considered for this Specialist TA Behaviour/Mentor role you will need**:
- Experience supporting young people with ASD, learning difficulties and physical disabilities
- Ideal would be De-escalation / positive handling training
- A positive attitude and flexible approach
**Additional requirements**:
- References confirming suitability for role
- Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service
- Eligibility to work in the UK
