Overview / Responsibilities:
Due to continuing success in the offshore wind sector, we are seeking a talented, motivated and passionate EIA professional to join our Resilient Environments International team as part of our enthusiastic and supportive team.
Our team has a proven track record of supporting consents for high profile offshore wind projects and we are now in a position to drive further growth and expansion to enable continued success in this exciting market. We have experienced great success in recent UK leasing rounds resulting in a strong future pipeline to deliver. We are looking for people that want to play an integral role in realising these high profile, cutting edge projects. We pride ourselves in combining our industry wide major infrastructure experience, digital EIA approach and in-depth knowledge of the wind sector to deliver cost effective solutions for our clients.

You will be joining a company with:

What you will be working on
You will be working on a high profile offshore wind development to:
- Lead the onshore team to deliver a robust EIA, survey management, stakeholder engagement and consenting advice to support consent submission
- Be the day to day contact with the client to ensure we are meeting project objectives and client expectations
- Manage the project onshore EIA budget and programme.
- Support wider project strategy discussions that define the future direction of the project
In addition you will:
- Continue to grow our offshore wind project portfolio by supporting business development activities to develop our existing clients as well as using your existing network to win new work
- Develop, motivate and mentor junior staff to reach their potential and potentially line manage some team members
- Keep up to date on industry developments and guidance and share your knowledge with your team
- Support the development of processes and templates through lessons learned that add value and efficiencies to our projects
Skills / Qualifications:
- Led or coordinated specialist technical input to deliver carefully considered, high quality EIA’s for Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects ideally in the offshore wind sector or onshore linear connections and energy infrastructure sector from scoping to consent determination. Scottish experience is useful. Planning background also considered.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, clients, suppliers and industry
- An established network in the offshore wind industry
- Accomplished people management skills particularly coordinating multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience in budget management and reporting
- Willingness to travel, including possible international travel
- A degree (or equivalent), in a relevant environmental discipline, with a strong emphasis on EIA and/or SEA
- Postgraduate qualification in environmental science/planning (or related field of study) (Desirable)
- Membership of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) or other professional accreditation/ registration with a recognised body (Desirable)
