Aquadart Bathrooms is a business based in Yorkshire with over 100 years of experience within the bathroom market. With an established reputation for manufacturing quality products our company is passionate about preserving manufacturing in the UK.

Please be aware for this role, you need to have experience as a Buyer previously within a business dealing with Imports. Previous experience within the Bathroom industry would be an advantage but not essential.

This role is currently a permanent position based on-site.

The hours are Monday to Friday between 8am and 4pm 37.5hours per week.

Duties include:

- Have previous experience of Imports, this is an essential part of the role, dealing with customers within China, Europe and UK Suppliers.
- Identifying stock, proposing what stock needs to be purchased
- Ensure KPI's & Freight forwarding accountancy is up to date for this.
- Researching new markets, products, and manufacturing processes
- Identifying quality standards and ensuring that all products meet those standards
- Sourcing new products from suppliers local and overseas
- Build and manage collaborative partnership with existing suppliers reviewing regularly
- Conduct negotiations with new and existing suppliers to ensure best cost
- Placing orders for projects/jobs for customers
- Manage all administration associated with the ordering procedure.
- Ensure supply protection by negotiating multiple suppliers for key products
- Liaise and collaborate with stores and other departments to ensure a smooth process System maintenance
- Following procedures or implementing improvements

Skills & Requirements:

- Excellent communication skills to help negotiations and ensure that expectations are clear
- Relationship building and networking skills
- Financial and accounting knowledge for calculating margins, gross profit and discounts
- Knowledge of fabrication and manufacturing techniques
- An understanding of supply chain management and logistics
- Excellent computer skills and knowledge of spreadsheets, presentation software and other stock management software and systems
- Excellent attention to detail and high standards for quality control
- Previous experience supervising a small team would be a great advantage.
