Technical Content Developer
Reporting To: Technical Manager
The role of the technical author is to primarily prepare and as required, revise, project related documentation for technical department thereby providing support for the engineers/technical officers. The role is ‘customer facing’ serving customers by acting as an interface for formal document preparation for the company and its customers.
**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES**
The below is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organisation and the overall business objectives of the organisation.
**Role-specific responsibilities**:
- Collating and inputting relevant project information from the Scope of Work and Specifications as received from the client into the project specific documentation, e.g., Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) and Application Procedure Manual (APM) and other associated documentation.
- Share the documentation with relevant engineers and other designated personnel for review.
- Share the documentation with relevant client, review feedback and raise client queries with relevant engineers. Feedback engineers’ responses to client and ensure documentation is kept up to date in a timely manner.

- You have a duty to take care of your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your actions at work.
- You will carry out assigned tasks and duties in a safe manner, in accordance with instructions, and comply with all Health, Safety & Environmental rules, policy, procedures, regulations and codes of practice.
- You must also co-operate with management and co-workers to help everyone meet their legal obligations.
- Ensure that you follow any instructions or health, safety & environmental training the Company provides and report any hazards, injuries or ill health that present a serious and imminent risk.

**REQUIREMENTS**
**Job-Specific Education Required**:
- 5 x GCSE’s including English, Maths and Science grade 5-9 / A*-C
**Skills & Knowledge Required**:
- Accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines are key attributes required for this role.
- Work under own initiative and have an enquiring and analytical mind.
- Highly organised, able to prioritise and used to working under pressure and to deadlines.
- Team player with excellent communication skills including good telephone manner.
- Proficient IT skills including Microsoft office and Outlook.
