**Position : Manual Machinist**

**Location : Sheffield**

**Salary : £25,000 - £30,000**

**Hours : Mon-Thurs 07:30 - 16:30 and Friday 07:30 - 12:30**

Our client is looking for a manual machinist working on small to medium size components to join their team on a permanent basis.

Role Specification
- Use a range of machinery such as lathe, milling machine and pillar drill.
- Ability to understand engineering drawings, tolerances and geometric tolerances.
- Responsible for inspecting own work.
- Able to use precision measuring equipment such as micrometer, depth micrometer, telescopic and vernier calipers.
- Able to work with a range of materials including stainless steel, brass, aluminum and more.
- Able to work on his/her own initiative and as part of a team.

Person Specification
- Ideally apprentice trained.
- Must have previous experience in a machine shop environment, ideally 5+ years.
- Good communication skills
- A good record of attendance and punctuality
- A good team player
- Good housekeeping and able to participate in 5s events.
- Ability to manage his/her own time to work efficiently and to deadlines.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
