Leaving Care Support Worker £26,500 per annum Hull Your new company You will be joining a forward thinking leaving care company who provide semi-independent living to young people 16+ in their services in the Hull area. Their homes can be solo or groupliving settings and within this home, the focus is to be on mental health, learning disabilities and behaviours that challenge so experience in these areas would be beneficial although full training will be given. Your new role You will work on a rota basedsystem on 24 hour shifts including sleepovers of 10am-10am. You will work 2-1 with the young people in the service although there may at times be lone working. You will support the young person in achieving as independent a life as possible through guidanceon finances, cooking, shopping, support with education, accessing medical appointments etc. You will keep up to date records and daily notes on the young person to be fedback to social workers and other external agencies. What you'll need to succeed At least6 months experience of working with children or young adults with mental health, autism and/or learning disabilities. Be able to work in a team and confidently lone work. A passion and commitment to your own personal development.
