**Functional Skills Tutor**

**Hours**:Full-Time, Permanent, (37.5 hours per week, Mon - Fri, 8:30am - 4:30 pm)

**Location**:Colchester

**Salary**: £22,000 - £30,000 per annum, (depending on experience & qualifications)

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a **Functional Skills Tutor** based in our **Colchester **centre.

Nova Training is one of the UK’s most popular and experienced training providers operating for over 30 years in Study Programmes and Apprenticeships. Nova now operates its 14-24 provision from 13 locations located across the West Midlands and East of England.

Our programme delivery now includes; 16-18 study programmes, pre-apprenticeships, provision for learners with high needs, apprenticeships and 14-16 alternative provision.

Rated as Good by Ofsted in all areas of provision for offering a variety of education options to young people.

As a **Functional Skills Tutor **you will be supporting students to achieve their functional skills qualifications in both, Maths, English and ICT up to Level 2. We are looking for a Functional Skills Tutor who can motivate, engage and inspire our learners to achieve their full potential whilst on our programme.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Delivery of Functional Skills English, Maths and ICT up to Level 2.
- Plan individual learning to meet learner needs and ensure lesson plans are prepared.
- Achieve company KPI’s and Individual Performance Plan
- Plan embedded learning for groups and individuals
- Develop delivery in order to maximise progression opportunities for learners.
- Create conditions in the training centre(s) which will help to develop the abilities, skill and confidence of each learner.
- Regularly assess learners' work.

**Requirements**:

- Experience of delivering Functional Skills or Maths and English to Level 2
- A Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in 14-19 provision.
- Full Teaching Qualifications I.e. Cert Ed, C&G 7407, CTTLS, DTTLS
- Passion & desire to teach
- Willingness to undertake any relevant Teaching Qualifications necessary.

**Full, clean UK Driving License**
