Our client is looking to recruit a Resources Officer on a part-time, fixed term basis. This position is for 21 hours each week, fixed term for up to 12 months, worked as full days Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. This role is still largely remote but is likely to become hybrid in the near future, with some time at home, and some in the office which is based in Inverness. This role is paid at £10.90 p/h.

Key tasks will include but will not be limited to:

- Work closely with internal and external parties to ensure works and projects are effectively co-ordinated and carried out to meet establishment and operational needs, and in compliance with standards and procedures
- Co-ordinate repairs & maintenance programme for catering and cleaning equipment
- Monitor Environmental Health Reports for and co-ordinate works required to comply with Health & Safety and Food Safety Regulations
- Monitor PAT testing reports on Catering and FM equipment and arrange for required actions to be taken;
- Assist with management of capital improvements and refurbishments within kitchens
- Co-ordinate purchase and installation of heavy equipment
- Work closely with relevant parties to ensure that appropriate and effective action is taken for day to day problems with Catering and Cleaning equipment.
- Line manage, co-ordinate and oversee workload of in-house electrical repairs team
- Maintain records using various database and spreadsheet systems;
- The postholder will be required to travel throughout the Highlands
- Ensure consistency in knowledge and accuracy of support team, and to advise of training required in procedures relevant to your area of responsibility.
- Participate in disciplinary and grievance investigations as required, fulfilling the role of Investigation Officer or other role as required

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

- Minimum of 2 years recent experience of business administration, preferably in a Local Authority environment
- Experience of Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations associated with the Catering and

Cleaning industry
- Experience of working within an electronic environment
- Ability to supervise staff and delegate duties Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage your workload. Along with using your own initiative to balance competing priorities and ensure deadlines are met.
- Ability to collate different forms of data to provide appropriate information to senior management.
- Competent in an electronic environment
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office and associated computer packages
- Self motivated, with good organisational skills, accuracy and attention to detail
- The post holder must be willing to travel throughout the Highland area as required
- Proven working knowledge of Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations and good understanding of Food Safety requirements and regulations
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

Essential Education/Qualifications:

- Educated to HNC level or equivalent, ideally with a relevant professional qualification - or have relevant skills, experience and training to an equivalent standard
- PVG is required.
