Global Mobility and Tax Specialist

**How you can make your mark**

Make your mark as a Global Mobility and Tax Specialist with Boskalis Subsea Services located in Aberdeen In this role you undertake tax and social security planning in relation to overseas projects. By doing so, you will work with the group wide tax department, the business unit and third party providers to determine liability to applicable taxes for overseas projects.

You ensure the business unit is compliant with UK requirements for the crew. You will prepare and issue the tax memos to the crew whilst supporting the crew and HR teams with tax related queries. You collect and review the documentation to support the tax return fillings and respond to correspondence from HMRC and other tax authorities. You coordinate with other jurisdictions to make sure that obligations for the crew are met. Also, you coordinate the payroll obligations with third party providers.

You also interface with the wider tax department to ensure broader tax issues are managed for the business unit, planning and ensuring compliance in all tax areas for overseas jurisdictions, As part of this planning you will fully consider the business unit’s transfer pricing policy. If required you will assist and gather information for overseas tax investigations.

If required you will also assist in gathering tax advice for overseas tenders covering all tax implications.

And, you will manage a number of 3rd party service providers.

**Your responsibilities as a global mobility and tax specialist are**:

- Work with group tax department to coordinate business unit transfer pricing compliance
- Work with group tax department to ensure compliance for overseas branches
- Work with tax department and advisors to ensure appropriate tax advice included in overseas tenders
- Work with UK Tax Manager to ensure compliant and any ad hoc business unit queries resolved in a timely manner
- Assist any overseas tax investigations
- Manage 3rd party tax advisors

**You can make your mark as a global mobility and tax specialist if you have**:

- Relevant bachelors’ degree or similar relevant working experience, added with a tax qualification (incl. Awareness of international tax principles), Preferably with practice experience; confident in project managing a range of tax workstreams
- Must be personable with strong command of English language and good communication skills
- Requires meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and problem solving abilities, proven experience working with crew (Working knowledge of Seafarer’s Earnings Deduction) and related vessel issues and able to display confidence and positive attitude.
- Understanding of mariner’s rules for National Insurance purposes.
- Conversant with computer software programmes, including word and excel

**Extra information**
- Where you will work: Your location will be our office in Aberdeen and you have the option to work from home 2 days per week. Fixed office days are Tuesday and Thursday’s.
- Part - time job: The position of **global mobility and tax specialist **is part time, 24 hours per week.
