**MATERNITY COVER REQUIRED - SENIOR CARE**
**A two week rolling rota, including every other weekend. 52 hrs per fortnight.**
**Safe**: You are required to protect Residents from abuse and avoidable harm.
**Effective**: Your care, treatment and support must achieve good outcomes and help to maintain quality of life.
**Caring**: Staff involved in care must treat Residents with compassion, kindness, dignity and respect.
**Responsive**: Services are organised so that they meet Resident’s needs.
**Well-led**: Members of the organisation will make sure Residents receive high quality care based around individual needs and encourage learning and innovation whilst promoting an open and fair culture
**job purpose**
To lead and support Care Assistants.
To ensure all new staff undertake online training within probation period.
To complete staff supervisions.
To provide a caring and safe environment for residents.
To ensure a safe working environment for staff.
To ensure the standards set out by Care Quality Commission (CQC) are met.
To ensure all residents information, care plans, daily tasks are entered onto the PCS system
**general responsibilities**
- To oversee and support Care Assistants in the delivery of high quality care to residents.
- To act as guide and mentor to staff.
- To liaise with family and Carers and feedback to management any concerns. Respecting issues of confidentiality at all times.
- To comply with all health and safety aspects pertaining to residents, staff and visitors.
- To ensure all requirements of the risk assessments are assessed.
- To comply with the instructions and policies of Shenstone Hall, paying particular attention to responsibilities under the Health & Safety at Work Act.
- To complete appropriate paper work and input on PCS system held held device.
- To monitor needs of the individual and amend care as required.
- Be aware and maintain infection control measures.
- Maintain a smart and tidy appearance and always wear the correct uniform whilst on duty., including name badge.
- Attend training sessions as required.
- Attend and undertake initial assessments for residents.
- Report any accidents involving either staff or residents to management.
- Comply with written and verbally agreed conditions of employment e.g. hours of duty, days of duty, time-keeping etc.
- Ensure that any matters concerning residents are discussed only on a need to know basis, complying with confidentiality at all times
- To ensure all care delivered is person centred and reflects the needs of the resident and is documented within the care plan.
- Support staff in any new skills as requested.
- Care Certificate mentoring.
- To be responsible for a team of carers and to ensure their welfare needs are met as well as the residents.
- To undertake any other duties as required.
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: £11.44-£12.00 per hour
