WE REQUIRE SOMEPNE WITH GOOD COMMUNICATOR SKILLS, BOTH VERBALLY AND WRITTEN.

**NURSERY NURSE JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Responsible to: Nursery Manager and Proprietor**

**Responsible for: All children placed in your care**

**MAIN DUTIES**
- **To support the nursery in providing a day care and education environment that meets in full the registration requirements of Ofsted and all relevant governing bodies.**:

- **To provide for the effective care of the children of the nursery by ensuring the highest standards of care.**:

- **To ensure that you comply with Health and Safety, fire regulations and food safety requirements.**:

- **To ensure you promote and nurture the reputation for good practice held by the nursery.**

**CHILD CARE**
- **To ensure you promote and maintain the highest standards of care and education within a key person system.**:

- **To ensure you meet and adhere to the requirements of the EYFS**:

- **To provide a safe, stimulating and secure environment for all children.**:

- **To plan varied and engaging activities within the nursery environment and outside area**:

- **To provide an environment which supports and nurtures the development of children with SEND**:

- **To ensure appropriate assessments and records are kept by yourself for your key children.**:

- **To provide individual programmes for children as necessary.**

**SUPERVISORY**
- **To support team responsibility.**:

- **To attend staff meetings regarding individual children, planning the curriculum and staff training.**:

- **To attend regular supervision sessions with management to encourage support and development.**:

- **To assist in the carrying out regular fire drills.**:

- **To ensure that you are aware of and competent in procedures and practice regarding safeguarding.**:

- **To adhere to and respect the confidentiality policy**

**GENERAL TEAM WORK**
- **To ensure that the keeping of staff and family records is carried out in such a manner to protect the confidentiality and promote the welfare of individuals concerned.**:

- **To support all staff provide a wide ranging, exciting curriculum to ensure children meet the early learning goals, following the EYFS for children’s learning upon reaching school age.**:

- **This must reflect our child centred philosophy regarding the ways children learn.**:

- **To assist in the development of methods of planning, recording and developing children’s progress.**:

- **To recognise and support all staff members in their professional development.**:

- **To attend regular staff training as identified for personal professional development**:

- **To assist in providing a warm, welcoming environment for all users and promote and respect our parents as the first educators of their children.**:

- **To deal with enquiries and day-to-day problems with sensitivity and professionalism at all times.**

**Job Type**: Part-time

Expected hours: No less than 21 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

Work Location: In person
