NC Associates are working with a global distribution organisation based in Bradford to assist in recruiting an experienced Credit Team Leader to support the Head of the Credit function and assume responsibility for a small team of Credit Controllers. This role also offers hybrid and flexible working option.

**The responsibilities of the Credit Team Leader role will include, but are not limited to**:
- Support credit control team to ensure cash collection KPI’s are achieved.
- Regular reviews of aged debts to maximise cash collection and reduce aged debt.
- Ensure all work is correctly documented for weekly management reviews.
- Take ownership of Key Collection accounts to obtain on time payments in full.
- Approve accounts for pre legal action.
- Ensure blocked orders are dealt with quickly and efficiently.
- Support sales in speedy resolution of customer’s disputes.
- Plan and make visits to local sales teams when necessary.
- Assist in the allocation of all cash and BACS receipts.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- First point of escalation on collection issues.
- Professional approach to all internal and external clients.
- Answer the telephone promptly and professionally.
- Communicate effectively between departments.
- Challenge and influence decision making to ensure the best possible outcome.
- Inform credit control team of any changes to company policies.
- Assist the Regional Credit Manager with weekly and monthly reporting for management reviews.
- Ensure reporting deadlines are met.
- Attend and play a contributing role at internal meetings.
- Manage & motivate staff to ensure the effective operation of the department.
- Ensure adequate team cover during absence.
- Regular 1-2-1 reviews, including yearend appraisals.
- Support and encourage staff development.
**Requirements of the Credit Team Leader**:
- Proven background in a similar role and supervising a small team.
- Leads from the front and motivates others.
- Driven, proactive and demonstrates a “can do” attitude and approach.
- Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
- Highly numerate and literate with analytical skills and string verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships at all levels within the business and with external clients.
- Excellent PC skills with good working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook, SAP is desirable.
- Proven abilities to meet and exceed targets.
- Ability to deal with pressure and work to deadlines.
