MMP Consultancy are currently recruiting for a Gas Manager for a social housing provider in the Hertfordshire area. Long term interim contract paying competitive market rates.
Role Details
Title: Gas Manager
Rate: £Neg Day Rate circa. £250 - £275 per day depending on experience. - inside IR35.
Location: Hertfordshire
Expenses: Business related parking and mileage is paid.
Contract: Rolling Contract (One week notice period)
Flexible: 2 days in office 3 days from home
Job Overview
- Responsible for the individual and communal heating servicing and repair contract, ensuring an effective and consistent service to residents, meeting contractual obligations and ensuring that the service internally is cost and time efficient without sacrificingsafety or quality
Key Duties
- Manage the delivery of the servicing and repairs programmes for gas and legionella safety.
- Manage contracts and ensure a robust audit is carried out of the service provided, implementing and managing any subsequent improvement actions required.
- Identify and monitor potential risks within programmes and take appropriate preventative steps to reduce risks to the council, including court action under the environmental protection act legislation.
- Ensure compliance to all current and future legislation around gas and legionella.
- Carry out the full range of contract administration duties in relation to works procured under JCT, TPC and other forms of contract.
- Set benchmarks to monitor progress, to identify whether or not the project is on target to finish on time and within budget.
- Ensure KPI's contained within the contract are being met and adhered to.
- Be responsible for a budget currently more than £1 million per annum by financial planning and monitoring of the project.
- Certify valuations and ensure payments are made to the service provider / contractor in accordance with the contract terms.
- Communicate effectively throughout internal teams requiring support and have a communications strategy with tenants and contractors to ensure service calibre.
- Provide technical guidance to colleagues, service providers and customers when called upon.
- Demonstrate value for money through solid estimations, contract management, quality assurance and management of risk.
- Ensure that team members provide an excellent customer focused service. Carry out recruitment and line management duties.
